Customers most frequently asked questions:
Does Post use glyphosate?
Post does not add glyphosate during any part of our production process. However, glyphosate is sometimes used by farmers across the agricultural industry who apply it to grains such as wheat and oats pre-harvest. Once the grains are transported to us, we put them through rigorous quality, food safety and manufacturing processes to make our breakfast cereals; however, trace levels may still remain. We proudly stand by the safety and quality of all of our products, but we provide this information in an effort to inform consumers interested in this issue.
What is your allergy labeling policy?
We understand and share the concerns expressed by consumers who are affected by food allergies. Food- allergic consumers should rely on our package ingredient labels for the most accurate information on a product. If a product contains any of the FDA major eight allergens (eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy or wheat), it will be clearly listed in bold print in the ingredient declaration on the Nutrition Facts Panel.
Are your cereal products Kosher certified?
Many of our cereal products are Kosher certified. You can search for current Kosher certified products by using our product filter.
Additionally, if the product you’re interested in is Kosher certified, its packaging will reflect its certification status and category. Kosher certifications may change over time, so the best way to determine a product’s Kosher status is to look at the front of the package. Our product packages will always reflect the most current information.
Does Post Consumer Brands have any gluten free products?
You can search for current gluten free products by using our product filter.
Currently, our gluten free items include:
Malt-O-Meal® Brand: Fruity Dyno-Bites, Cocoa Dyno-Bites, Crispy Rice
Mom’s Best® Brand: Crispy Cocoa Rice, Safari Cocoa Crunch
Post® Brand: Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Pebbles, Cinnamon Pebbles, Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate
Read the ingredient statement each time you purchase a product to ensure no changes have occurred. Please look for the ‘Gluten Free’ burst on packages at your favorite stores.
What is the best way to store your cereal products?
We recommend that you keep our cereals tightly closed, in a cool, dry place.
Is it safe to eat your cereal when it has passed its ‘Best if Used By’ date?
Yes, it is safe, but since the flavor will change as the product ages, we recommend that you purchase a new package.
How do I read the code date on my Post Consumer Brands cereal package?
All Post Consumer Brands cereals have a code (or “Best When Used By”) date on the package. For example, if the code date reads “MAR 03 17,” the corresponding “Use By” date is March 3, 2017. The product should not be used after this date.
By referring to the Best When Used By date you can be sure the product you’ve chosen is at peak freshness at the time of purchase and for a reasonable period of time thereafter, when stored unopened in a cool, dry place.
