Post Consumer Brands Canada is celebrating two major milestone anniversaries: 125 years for the Post brand and 100 years for the Malt-O-Meal brand. To commemorate these milestones, we’ve donated over $100,000 CAD in cash and product to local hunger relief organizations. These donations will impact the Canadian communities where Post operates. This includes our corporate office in Toronto and two plants in Cobourg and Niagara Falls. The Toronto team celebrated this past Friday, Nov. 15.

To start the day, the team presented a $33,000 CAD ($25,000 USD) donation to Food Banks Canada. The donation will provide more than 100,000 meals to Canadians in need. They also donated more than 300,000 bowls of cereal to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

“A big thank you to the team at Post for celebrating their 125th anniversary and National Philanthropy Day by giving back to their Canadian neighbours in need and sorting food at the Daily Bread Food Bank,” said Chris Hatch, CEO Food Banks Canada, “With over 1 million visits to food banks across Canada every month, we know that hunger is an ongoing issue in our country. Thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of our neighbours who struggle with food insecurity.”

The Toronto team also volunteered at the Daily Bread Food Bank where they packed and sorted more than 8,600 pounds of food. Their work will impact more than 430 families in need in the Greater Toronto area.

Our anniversary events will resume in March with a celebration in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
