Recruiting early career talent at Post Consumer Brands

Group of interns at Post office

As Post Consumer Brands continues to grow and innovate, we’re expanding our search for talent. Starting earlier in the career stages by recruiting interns, and potentially converting them to full time employees, allows us to offer broader development opportunities. Future team members have a chance to grow with our company and learn to apply our mission and values.

Providing early career experience

In June 2020, we will host 16 interns and four individuals in our Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP). These team members will join our Lakeville, Minn. corporate office, Northfield, Minn. Campbell Mill, Battle Creek, Mich. plant and Bentonville, Ark. Sales office. We’re also excited to welcome back four previous interns as full time employees.

The OLDP offers an accelerated career development experience for participants as they join the strong bench of Operations Leaders at Post Consumer Brands. The program consists of four rotations over two years. Interns at Post Consumer Brands spend 12 weeks during the summer engaging with our business and the industry. They’re assigned meaningful projects with direct business impact.

Engaging with interns and Operations Leadership Development associates

The Post Consumer Brands Talent Acquisition team recently hosted a networking event at our corporate office in Lakeville, Minn. The event provided an opportunity for interns and OLDP Associates to connect and engage with each other before starting in June 2020. Howard Friedman, President & CEO, kicked off the event by sharing his goals for the interns and OLDP Associates. He also emphasized the importance of the internship program and OLDP as key components of our talent strategy.

“Through opportunities like this event and engaging on-site internships and rotational programs are key pipelines for future talent at Post Consumer Brands,” said Michelle Newman, Senior Director, Human Resources.

The remainder of the event featured a networking hour with each interns’ future manager, the Post Consumer Brands executive team, and Human Resources leadership team. Future team members received a small taste of our culture before they start in June 2020. Special thanks to our merchandising and corporate facilities teams for their work designing the displays and arranging the event space.

Recruiting for summer 2021 interns will start between July and August 2020. Check our careers website for more great opportunities to share with your network.
