Top Cereals for 2025… And So Much More

2025 Year in Review

As 2025 winds down, we love looking back at all the ways Post Consumer Brands spread joy — with delicious eats for people and pets, by investing in our talented team members and making this a place people want to work, and by giving back to our communities and those in need. We dig into some of our favorite moments and highlights from a busy and fulfilling year in the article that follows.

With their sweet bunches of oats and satisfying crunch, it’s no wonder that our Honey Bunches of Oats™ cereals land in the top five year after year, and this year was no exception.

Rounding out the list is our bagged Malt-O-Meal™ Fruity Dyno Bites™ cereal — a whimsical product whose taste and price tag spread smiles all around.

New Pet Foods

Wait, there’s more! Innovation is a major part of what we do at Post Consumer Brands — it’s one of the reasons we’ve been in business for over a century. We’re always looking for new flavors and formulations that better serve today’s consumers and pet owners. In 2025, we unveiled five new dog food products (and stay tuned for even more changes in 2026).

We also unveiled new 9Lives® cat food flavors, size offerings and even variety packs for 2025, and we’re not done yet. Stay tuned for more exciting developments with 9Lives in 2026.

Brand Collaborations, Giveaways & Refreshes

We had a blast teaming up with other iconic brands like Krispy Kreme® to create a Yabba-Dabba-Doo-licious milk glaze donut, with Walmart to give away some free cereal at select locations, and with Liquid Death to create “Cereal Criminal,” a PEBBLES-flavored sparkling water that’s bold, unexpected and delicious.

We also collaborated with Chef Dominique Ansel, an award-winning pastry chef, chocolate-aficionado and the creator of the Cronut® , to celebrate the launch of Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate. He inspired fans to push the limits on decadence by creating two new recipes featuring our latest add to the Honey Bunches of Oats family — Crispy Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate “Fries” & Chocolate Milkshake and Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Baklava. Seeing our iconic cereals tapped in so many out-of-the-box ways to spread joy is invigorating.

Speaking of spreading joy — Nature’s Recipe also gave away $100 to 100 lucky winners to celebrate National Walk Your Dog Week. With the funds earmarked toward the purchase of a new pair of walking shoes, the giveaway was a fitting way to reward people going the extra mile for their furry sidekick.

Also exciting— Grape-Nuts got a packaging makeover! The new look is clean and modern, plus it better showcases the nutritional benefits of this whole-grain cereal. But the overall look remains true to our roots (i.e., easy to spot) and we haven’t changed the nutty deliciousness you’ll find in the box.

Other Post Happenings

2025 also gave us several reasons to celebrate. For one, it marked 10 years since Post Holdings Inc. acquired MOM Brands, resulting in the creation of Post Consumer Brands. This laid the foundation for an expansion of both companies’ legacies of bringing delicious food to families across North America. It also cemented Post’s commitment to doing right by its people.

The Minnesota Star Tribune recognized the fruits of that effort, naming Post Consumer Brands a Top 25 employer in the state. The fact that the ranking was based entirely on employee feedback made that honor even sweeter.

A key component of making Post Consumer Brands a place people want to work is our investment in top talent. To support those early in their careers, we welcomed a record 42 interns to our team for the summer of 2025, immersing them in real work.. We’re already looking forward to seeing what the summer 2026 class of interns brings to the table.

Interns weren’t the only thing new at Post Consumer brands over the summer. We officially acquired 8th Avenue Food & Provisions, expanding our portfolio to private and branded offerings of private label nut butters, granola, and fruit and nut products.

Post also invested in restoring a key element of the company’s history — the C.W. Post Office. Located in the private clubhouse of our Battle Creek, Michigan plant, the renovation entailed the update of the floor and stairs to meet food-quality and safety standards, but every effort was made to revive the space’s early nineteenth-century Victorian design. The restored office is now being used monthly to recognize long-time service award recipients and retirees at the Battle Creek plant.

Post Gives Back

Making delicious food accessible for all isn’t just something you’ll find on our values page. It’s something we actively pursue with annual events like our  Battle Creek cereal sale that supports the United Way or our Ingredients for Good meal packing initiative. We sponsor the United Way Action Day and invited employees to pack backpacks for Twin Cities students in need. And for the second year in a row, we sponsored the Family Activity Area at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon weekend, a premiere event that draws people (and their pets) from around the globe.

We’re also big believers in giving back to animals in need — a commitment that underlies our ongoing support of The Rachael Ray Foundation. Since its creation, Rachel Ray’s flagship pet food brand Nutrish has donated a portion of each sale to animals and people in need. Post Consumer Brands continues that proud tradition, supporting animal welfare with every bag sold. We also encourage our employees to consider pet adoption by providing an annual allowance to help cover pet adoption fees through a shelter.

We are always looking for opportunities to give back to our local communities. Employees are finding meaningful ways to give back, support local traditions, and connect with neighbors. From packing meals and mentoring students to marching in parades and joining local events, they make a lasting difference in the places where they live and work.

Doing right doesn’t end at the office. Our team shows up for their neighbors and their communities, generously sharing their time, talent and treasure. What an incredible year. We can’t wait to build on that momentum in 2026.
