In preparation for the upcoming school year, Post Consumer Brands recently donated $10,000 to support the Greater Twin Cities United Way’s Action Day 2021 event. On Thursday, Aug. 12, hundreds of volunteers, including a group of PCB team members, gathered at Allianz Field in St. Paul to pack 50,000 backpacks.

Each year, more than 10,000 Twin Cities-area students return to school without the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom. Action Day aims to address these educational disparities, which were amplified by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, by providing much-needed support and school supplies to local students in need.

A group of Post Consumer Brands’ team members joined the effort along with volunteers from other Twin Cities-area businesses, packing more than 200 backpacks on-site at Allianz Field. “It was inspiring to see Twin Cities-area businesses come together to support education in Minnesota,” said Jill Bollettieri, senior vice president and general counsel at Post Consumer Brands. “Together, we’re making a real impact.”
