Supporting The Rachael Ray Foundation® through Nutrish™

In 2008, determined to make high-quality nutrition accessible to everyone, celebrity chef Rachael Ray with Ainsworth Pet Nutrition created the Nutrish™ pet food brand. Crafting recipes using real ingredients and complete, balanced nutrition, inspired by the meals she made for her own pets, Rachael Ray established a pet food and treats brand with a mission beyond just quality food: it would give back to help animals in need. In 2016, the Rachael Ray Foundation® was formed to fund critically needed food programs and support services for pets and people.

About the Rachael Ray Foundation

Since the beginning, a portion of Nutrish product sales have helped support both animals and humans in need. The Rachael Ray Foundation was formally founded with a mission to improve the lives of shelter animals and helping kids and their families develop healthy relationships with food and cooking. Incredibly, more than $100 million has been donated to date. While animals remain the priority, The Rachael Ray Foundation also supports human-focused initiatives.

By partnering with leading non-profit organizations nationwide, the Foundation allocates funds towards impactful efforts, from spay-neuter programs and veterinary technician training to community initiatives focused on food insecurity.

A Shared Vision with Post

Since welcoming the Nutrish brand into our Post Consumer Brands portfolio in April 2023, its mission has resonated deeply with our purpose of making lives better by making delicious food accessible for all. Both The Rachael Ray Foundation and Post are united by a shared passion for animal welfare.

Tracy Quigley, Sr. Marketing Director – Nutrish at Post Consumer Brands serves as the company representative on The Rachael Ray Foundation Board of Directors.

In 2024, Post Consumer Brands provided more than $14 million to The Rachael Ray Foundation to help it continue its mission.  The Nutrish reimagination efforts, including packaging redesign, new innovation, and veterinarian review of many formulas, rolling into market now, continue to emphasize the Foundation’s charitable mission. “With our goal of introducing Nutrish to more pets, we hope to drive incremental sales to provide even more to the Foundation moving forward.” said Tracy Quigley. In addition to Post’s annual support to the Foundation, Nutrish does direct feeding programs with several animal shelters across the country, including North Shore Animal League America (NSALA), helping thousands of pets annually.
