On Saturday, October 3, team members from the Post Consumer Brands™’ Lakeville Office and Northfield Plant came together to Bring Joy, cereal, pet food, and plenty of fun to the Twin Cities in Motion Family Activity Area as part of Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend. This was our third year as the title partner of the family activity area, and our team delivered an unforgettable experience for event attendees.

Relay Races, Button Making, and More!

Our activity area featured a relay race where kids of all ages had to weave around cones while balancing oversized Fruity PEBBLES™ pieces on giant spoons. Families were able to cheer on their little ones and their reward was a pair of red PCB branded sunglasses.

After that, kids could select a button design to color and then get it assembled to support those running in the 5K and 10K races. From there they could then choose from a number of colorful designs at the airbrush tattoo station, or play the giant Connect 4 or Jenga games.

Everyone also got to watch as our own Golden Crisp™ mascot, Sugar Bear, once again competed against other Twin Cities area mascots in the mascot invitational race. Though he came up just short of defending his title, his effort made us extremely proud!

Photo Opportunities and Sweet Swag

The Post Consumer Brands area featured numerous photo opportunities featuring our iconic grocery and pet brands for families, including our Honey-Comb™ inflatable with giant spoons and Honey-Comb pieces, Peter Pan Peanut Butter inflatable and Kibbles ‘n Bits™ dog bowl inflatable.

They could then stop by our main tent to pick up branded tote bags, single-serve Post and Malt-o-Meal™ cereal samples and Rachel Ray® Nutrish™ dog treats for their four-legged family members.

Congratulations, Runners!

Many Post employees participated in marathon weekend, including three marathon runners, six 10-mile runners, and 20 participants in Saturday’s 5K and 10K races. Congratulations to all!
