Post Consumer Brands Combats Food Insecurity with Ingredients for Good Volunteer Program

Ingredients for good volunteer program to fight food insecurity

As a company dedicated to feeding families, it’s fitting that our first annual company-wide volunteer initiative, Ingredients for Good, is focused on addressing the issue of food insecurity.

At Post Consumer Brands, we believe it’s our responsibility to help those in need. By coming together in April for our first annual Ingredients for Good volunteer initiative, we are aiming to help those facing food insecurity in our communities.

During the month of April, we will be supporting local food banks and food shelves in our communities with donations of time, food and money to ensure community access to food. Because of the ever-growing demand for food assistance during the pandemic and now due to rising food prices, these organizations and the people they serve can use our support more than ever.

It’s estimated that more than 43.6 million people in the United States and Canada live in food-insecure households. And in both countries, families and individuals of color, especially Black and indigenous people, are disproportionately affected by food insecurity.

As part of our commitment to strengthening our local communities, Ingredients for Good is an opportunity for all 12 of our locations to come together to address the issue of food insecurity in a more impactful and unified way. Each Post Consumer Brands location will be organizing volunteer opportunities with local nonprofit organizations that are helping to fight hunger in their communities.
