Celebrating milestone anniversaries, employees, and community in Utah

Post Consumer Brands is celebrating two milestone anniversaries over the next 12 months — 100 years for the Malt-O-Meal brand and 125 years for the Post brand. To commemorate these milestones, we will host celebrations and donate $250,000 to local hunger relief organizations in 10 of the communities across the U.S. and Canada where we operate. The anniversary events and charitable donations represent our appreciation for our dedicated team members and our continued commitment to feeding families in need across North America.

Food, fun, and celebration

There were smiles all around, and some tears of joy, as our Utah teams kicked-off the anniversary celebrations. The anniversary event took place in Tremonton, a community that we have called home since 2003. The event, which took place across October 8th and 9th, included a catered employee thank-you dinner and presentation of jackets to all team members, as well as check presentations to the Tremonton Food Pantry and Utah Food Pantry. State Representative Joel Ferry, Tremonton Mayor Roger Fridal and other leaders from the nonprofits and city attended the event.

Continuing our legacy of hunger relief

The check presentation took place on Tuesday, October 8th at 11 a.m. Cathy Newman accepted a $10,000 donation on behalf of the Tremonton Food Pantry. According to Newman, this was the largest single donation the food pantry has received in her 14 years, except for when the city constructed their building.  Tia Allen and Scott Woodhead accepted the $15,000 donation for the Utah Food Bank. These donations will go to help the 382,000 people in Utah who are at risk of hunger. Learn more about how the Tremonton Food Pantry and Utah Food Bank are impacting their local communities.

In 2014, the Tremonton facility earned the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s prestigious Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certification.

Our next anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday, October 12th in Northfield, MN, followed closely by Cobourg, Ontario on Tuesday, October 15th.
