Lakeville corporate headquarters hosts socially-distanced drive-thru anniversary celebration

Post Consumer Brands is celebrating two major milestone anniversaries — 125 years for the Post brand and 100 years for the Malt-O-Meal brand. To commemorate these milestones, our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. hosted a socially-distanced, drive-thru celebration. The event marks the end of a year filled with celebrations and charitable donations at our locations across North America.

On Thursday, July 24, employees at the Lakeville headquarters had the opportunity to drive-thru the parking lot and pick up a celebratory cupcake kit and branded cloth face masks. The cupcake kits were specially made by local Lakeville bakery, Sweet Treasures. The “parade” route featured a balloon arch, DJ, and Post Consumer Brands’ leadership greeting parade attendees while holding festive signs featuring slogans like “honk for cupcakes.”

While the anniversary celebration looked different than the team had originally planned, it was a great reminder that no matter the situation there’s still so much to celebrate.

Back in April, Post Consumer Brands donated $10,000 to Channel One Food Bank in Southeastern Minnesota and $15,000 to Second Harvest Heartland, the largest food bank in Minnesota, in honor of the milestone anniversaries. The donations were originally planned to be presented in coordination with the July event, but were expedited to help serve the needs of Minneapolis-St. Paul communities impacted by the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Making sure that everyone has enough to eat during this unprecedented emergency situation is going to take all of us. Thank you so much for this generous gift!” said Virginia Merritt, Executive Director of Channel One Regional Food Bank.

“Recently we distributed three times the normal amount of food in one day, making it the largest food distribution to our partner agencies in the history of our organization. We couldn’t do this work without great partners like you and Post Consumer Brands!” said Heather Olson, Corporate Development Officer at Second Harvest Heartland.

Thank you to everyone who made these donations and this event possible. Click here to read more about our previous anniversary celebrations.
