Post team members give back during the holidays

Post employees are embracing the holiday spirit by donating their time and money to support and strengthen the communities where they live and work. Here are just a few ways they are spreading joy and giving back.

Promoting youth literacy in our communities

In the U.S., an estimated 1 in 4 children aren’t being encouraged to read. To help address this issue, the Battle Creek plant team and the Post Foundation are presenting a special holiday surprise to local elementary students in Calhoun County, Mich.

Team members packed snack bags and collected books to give to students at Post Franklin Elementary, Verona Elementary and Beadle Lake Elementary schools. This holiday season, the team will hand out more than 1,000 snack bags, books and boxes of cereal.

Spreading holiday cheer

At our corporate office and several manufacturing plants, team members are donating some of their time and money to support local families. Through the Adopt-A-Family program, employees buy and donate clothes and gift items to the children of struggling families.

Providing grants to strengthen local nonprofits

Every community faces its own unique challenges, and local nonprofits often lead the way in finding solutions to these issues. The Better Together Employee Foundation, a nonprofit run by Post employees, is using funds raised throughout the year to provide grants to local nonprofits working to solve local challenges.

This year, the Foundation distributed $7,000 to nonprofits in seven communities where Post employees live and work. Grant recipients included Simpson Housing Service in the Twin Cities and the Randolph County Family Crisis Center in Asheboro, N.C.

Supporting our employees’ charitable efforts is part of our commitment to strengthening our communities. We take pride in the communities where we live and work, and we support them by giving back and donating our time, talent, products and cash.
