Banana-Raisin Scones


While this banana raisin scones recipe is already amazing on its own, pair it with your favorite coffee or tea for an even more satisfying bite! Made with Great Grains® Banana Nut Crunch® cereal and a few other baking staples, you can whip up this treat quickly!

Great Grains banana raisin scones recipe


  • ½ cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
  • 1 ½ cups Great Grains® Banana Nut Crunch® cereal
  • 1 egg
  • 1 6 ounce container vanilla low-fat yogurt


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix raisins and water in small bowl; set aside.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in Great Grains® Banana Nut Crunch® cereal.
  3. Beat egg in small bowl; stir in yogurt and raisins and their liquid.
  4. Add to flour mixture; stir until mixture forms soft dough.
  5. Drop dough by ¼ cupfuls, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets.
  6. Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
