Grape-Nuts® Pre-Workout Energy Shot Recipe

  • cup strawberries coarsely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 4 teaspoons Grape-Nuts® cereal
  • 4 teaspoons finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 container (4 ounces) low-fat orange yogurt


  • twist of orange


  • Soak chopped strawberries in orange juice for 30 minutes.   Drain off excess juice.
  • In a small bowl, combine Grape-Nuts cereal and finely chopped walnuts.
  • In a tall shot glasses, layer 2 teaspoons of the strawberries, 2 teaspoons orange yogurt and 2 teaspoons of the Grape-Nuts cereal mixture.  Repeat with 2 more teaspoons of strawberries, 2 teaspoons of orange yogurt and finish off with a sprinkling of the cereal mixture. Garnish with a twist of orange.
